...and I thought last week was bad

Oh no. This week was sent from the devil. My sweet baby endured the evil stomach bug over the weekend then I started throwing up in the middle of the night Monday. I finally made it back to work today (Thurs). I was actually excited to get out of the house, put on something besides fleece pants, put on make up and blow dry my hair. Hudson was obviously stoked about getting out of the house as well this morning because he was screaming "Huddy school!!" the entire drive to school. I'll spare you the gory details of what I've been through the last few days, and I'll just tell you it was rough. My mom and mother-in-law are now going through it but I think both are recovering today. Lantis and both grand-daddies are still standing strong. So far so good for the men folk in the family which is crazy because Lantis has had so much contact with it.

I have said more than once that I think its totally unfair that I have to get the nasty bugs that Hudson brings home. I endured pregnancy, 28 weeks of severe morning sickness, labor and delivery, breast feeding woes, sick kid cleanup, explosive diaper changes, and numerous nameless other gross mom things that we all deal with. Haven't I earned immunity from nasty germs brought home from school and/or public places? Moms are incredible durable creatures. We are made extraordinary that's all there is to it. How else could we survive such things and still love our little ones so incredibly much that we don't think twice about kissing them right on their germ and vomit crusted mouths? We're just happy to get a kiss and put a smile on their faces.

Besides the stomach funk we've been dealing with all is well. Hudson and I feel great today. I'm in constant prayer that the men stay healthy and they do not have to endure it. I'm looking forward to beautiful weather this weekend! :)

  1. Will had the stomach bug over the weekend too! So far, Clay and I haven't gotten it...let's hope that stays a true statement. Glad you and Hudson are feeling better!
